Getting a Taxi at McCarran Airport
Taxicabs are available on the east side of baggage claim, outside door exits 1-4.  Airport personnel are available on the taxi curb to assist passengers.

Please note: Most taxis will not accept credit card payments.

There is a $1.80 charge on all fares originating at the McCarran Airport. The maximum number of passengers allowed in any taxi is five (5), including infants and children.

Las Vegas Taxi Tips

Taxis in Las Vegas won't stop to pick you up or drop you off on Las Vegas Boulevard--it's illegal--so you'll need to arrange for pickup at a taxi stand. Cabs line up at most hotels, casinos and restaurants, so there's no need to call a cab company

You will have to wear a seat belt while in the cab. A car seat is not required for your infant if none is available, but if you have one with you then you will need to use it.

By law, each cab can only take 5 people, including infants and children. If members of your group exceed 5 you'll have to split up. It's a common thing for shady cab drivers to take the I-215 tunnel from the McCarran Airport claiming that this is the shortest way to your hotel. Not true. This tunnel is not the shortest way to get anywhere on the strip and all this trip will do is add more money to your fare.
